Join Polly Lancaster, Associate Lecturer and Technical Support at the University of Lincoln, for a hands-on workshop where you'll create your very own apron using sustainable fabric.
Polly will guide you as you make an apron starting with the basics of machine sewing. This is a fantastic opportunity to learn practical sewing skills while creating something functional and unique! This is your chance to create a bespoke apron for yourself.
You will be provided with materials and there will be refreshments as well as a short break at half time.
What we’ll cover
Introducing Sewing Machines - you'll get time to get comfortable with sewing machines, getting your tension correct and threading up a bobbin and machine
If we have time you'll be able to decorate your apron and maybe even do some topstitching to create a fun finish.
You'll leave the workshop with a crafted Apron, ready for whatever you throw at it!
